Vibrant Vintage Baby Shower
- 2¼ cup sugar
- 1 lb butter (4 sticks)
- 5 Tbsp water
- 27 oz cholate bar with nuts (like Hershey's)
- Melt butter in pan and add sugar and 5 Tbsp water.
- Stir until it boils and dissolves. Put lid on and turn heat down to low for 1 minute.
- Return to high heat and let boil, stirring constantly, until 315 degrees (about 10
- minutes).
- Line baking pan with tinfoil or parchment paper (cookie sheet with sides). Quickly
- poor contents onto -lined pan WITHOUT SCRAPINGÅ . Anything that is left
- after pouring can be scraped and set aside to eat separately.
- Let cool. (here, my Grandma says she likes to take a paper towel and gently
- wipe off any butter residue before putting chocolate on)
- Melt chocolate over double boiler. Poor half on top. Sprinkle nuts on top and let cool. Turn the
- whole thing over and repeat on the other side with chocolate and nuts.
- When completely cooled, use a sharp knife and tap the top to break into
- pieces.
