Always Becoming

Always becoming.

We are always in a state of becoming and transforming, whether we like it or not.

Whether you know it or not and whether we want it or not, we are all in a state of change.

We are constantly becoming more of something and less of something else always.

But the question is, my love… what and who are you becoming?

Are you becoming more of what you want?

Or

Are you becoming more of what you don’t want?

What do you want?

Do you want to become healthier and more fit? Do you spend your time and resources making healthy choices and moving your body daily or do you allow life to run you over, telling yourself you will get to it.

Do you want to feel more confident in social situations and feel meeting new people? Do invest in learning new social skills and confidence and then you force yourself to go to social events to practice those skills or do you stay home watching Netflix wishing you had somewhere to be becoming more alone and isolated.

Do you want to feel less frazzled and overwhelmed? D you take time for self-care every day and intentionally choose what will get your attention and what won’t? Or do you say yes to everything because you don’t want to disappoint other people, but end up constantly disappointing yourself?

Do you want to explore spirituality and feel more supported and grounded in your life? Are you intentional with your time? Do you set aside 5 minutes to meditate, pray, journal or ponder your current understandings and beliefs and start feeling into new ideas? Or do you allow life to dictate your course snuffing out time and opportunity for exploration and reflection?

How we spend our time, thoughts and energy creates what we become.

But the good news is, this becoming happens little by little.

Transformation happens moment by moment, thought by thought, tiny turtle step by turtle step.

But it all begins with Intention.

Then we must give our intentions animation by taking small, but consistent action.

Do you want to start taking better care of yourself? Well, here’s a new idea, instead of planning to eat healthier this week, start by saying “I love you” to yourself in the mirror, for one whole week. And then focus add in an action like eating healthier…I bet you will find it easier to pour time and energy into your care…because we naturally care for what we love and cherish.

Do you want to have stronger relationships in your life. Start with the intention to be present with people already in your life. Call an old friend, to see how they are doing? Smile and talk to the checker at the grocery store. Ask your coworker how they are doing and stop to listen.

Do you want to feel less anxious and worried? Begin by journaling for 5-10minutes every morning about what your worries and anxieties are. Sometimes just naming and putting a voice to the fear takes away it’s power. Then next turtle step can be, reminding yourself, by writing it and saying it daily “I am strong and I can handle any thing that comes my way” *Remember what you give energy (thoughts too) grows, so instead of giving energy to the worry you have about your child getting hurt, give mental energy to how much you love and cherish them.

Becoming is our constant state of being.

So if you are waiting or putting off making changes to your daily actions, stop it, because everyday you continue as you are, you are becoming more of what you don’t want and less of what you do.

So begin by getting intentional about your time, energy, thoughts and actions, and begin becoming in the direction you want.

Peace and Love,

Sally

P.S. If this resonated with you, please share the love and pass it on to someone you think would value it too. XOXO thanks!
