Have you ever had sweet potato fries? Yes? then cool we are on the same page. No?! Well then you should definitely gots to get yourself a plate, like pronto! They are super yummy, more have more important vitamins and minerals then white potatoes, and go with pretty much everything. You can make them yourself or you can purchase the premade variety (what I do).
Well, something magical happened one Sunday when I was making my Greek Turkey burgers for my family and we were having Sweet potato fries on the side. Well, I decided to put some hummus on my burger, because I love it so much and I was holding the cheese. While taking a big ole’ bit, a dollop of hummus fell on my fries. I had never thought of pairing sweet potato fries and hummus together before, but when I ate that hummus-covered-tater, I was in love!
So when I was brainstorming new tailgating hummus ideas, this immediately came to mind.
Not only is this a nutrient-packed (just #TwoSpoons heaping spoonfuls of hummus a day will fulfill your bean recommendation for the week!) and scrumptious appetizer, but it is also a super simple app. to bring to a party, especially when you have limited time or energy or both. And look how pretty it is!
You simply bake the (store bought or homemade) sweet potatoes until they are well-done and on the crispy side and arrange them on a plate with the hummus and sprinkle on the minced cilantro on top and share. I’m tellin’ you, everyone will love it!
So simple, so fantastic, my favorite kinda recipe!
Enjoy!
