Homemade Taco Soup (no store bought seasoning mixes needed)

Taco Soup from scratch

Taco Soup is one of the first things I learned to cook! My mom used to make it, so when I got out on my own, it was one of the first recipes I tried. It’s been a family favorite ever since. I also love it because it’s simple and easy to make, especially when prepared in the crockpot (I love when dinner is ready when I get home!). It’s hearty, delicious, high in fiber and protein, and incredibly easy to make—just toss everything into a crockpot, turn it on, and let it work its magic.

Traditional taco soup recipes often rely on pre-made seasoning mixes like ranch dressing mix, which is fine, but they can be full of additives like MSG and preservatives. So, I take the main ingredients of taco seasoning and ranch dressing mixes to create this Ranchy Taco Seasoning for homemade taco soup from scratch.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe

  • Clean Ingredients: No preservatives or additives.
  • Customizable: Use your favorite beans and adjust the spice level to your liking.
  • Nutritious: Packed with protein, fiber, and nutrients.
  • Easy to Prepare: A true set-it-and-forget-it meal.
