Immune Boosting Breakfast Smoothie
Let’s just say, I like it easy!
I am talkin’ about breakfast of course..what were you thinking? ????
I have to tell you, I am loving my new-ish morning breakfast routine, because it is not only easy, but it is healthy and delicious! for the last 6 months to a year or so, I have been having a smoothie for breakfast, nearly every morning! One of the best things about smoothies, is that you can add almost anything they are delicious (except if you add broccoli or cauliflower, because that makes them decidedly not delicious!). And because you can add almost anything to the smoothie, you can pack it full of lots of nutrient dense foods, like berries, green leafies, chia seeds, nuts, and even spices.
This Immune boosting smoothie is one of my favorites and is great because I am adding turmeric, ginger and cinnamon, which all contain potent anti inflammatory agents!
In the video I made a double batch, but the recipe below is a single batch because I wanted to make your life easy, especially in the morning!
- 1 cup Spinach
- 2 Tbsp. Chia Seeds
- 1TBsp Peanut butter
- ¼ cup blue berries
- ¼ cup strawberries
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 slice on fresh lemon
- ¼ cup of cucumber
- 1 cup Almond Milk
- ⅛ tsp turmeric
- ⅛ tsp ginger
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- Add all ingredients to a high powered blender and blend until smooth.
- (Doesn't get much easier than that!)
