Lovin it

Have you heard about Stitch Fix? .

For those of you who haven’t heard of it, it is a program where you sign up, create a fashion profile and they hand pick items for you based on your profile and send it directly to your door!   I heard about it years ago, but never tried it until now.  I have been curious about it for a while, when The Recipe Redux teamed up with Stitch Fix  to give their bloggers an affiliate opportunity, I decided to check it out.

So just to be clear, I was given this affiliate opportunity to review the Stitch Fix products and experience, but my review is all my own, because, of course I am going to be real with you guys, you are my peeps! ????

So first, I created an account, created a profile, telling them about my style, my likes and dislikes, and even shared my fashion pinterest board with them…which I think is brilliant on their part, because that really gives an insight into preferences.  A few days later they sent me an email saying my “fix” of 5 new handpicked items was on it’s way. YipPee!

The box was delivered to my door step and had such lovely style and packaging.  As as a person who appreciates visual appeal and presentation, I appreciate the effort they put into this.  It even comes with card that gives you tips on how to style your items.

But sadly, I didn’t like anything.  They were cute items, but were either too short or ill-fitting. So I returned everything.  I was bummed.

In the return process they asked me to review the items and myexperience, so I gave them pretty thorough feedback and changed a few of my preferences hoping that would make a difference for the next shipment.  I wanted to give Stitch Fix  another chance, because I know it takes time tweek things some times.

My “personal stylist” even reached out to me personally to make changes to my profile to improve the selection and experience, which I thought was really cool and showed that the company was committed to creating solutions and providing a good customer experience!

I don’t want Stitch Fix shipments very often, I but did want another shipment to replace this first one, so they sent another 5 items within the next week.

And I was sooooo pleased, loved everything!

In fact, I kept all 5 items.  With each order, you get charged a 20 dollar “styling fee” but if you keep any of the items, that amount is deducted from the total and if you get all 5 items they give you a 25% discount, which is a pretty sweet deal if you ask me, I basically got the jeans for free with the discount.

Favorite item: The navy blue flower dress.  In fact I got the shipment on a tuesday and I wore the dress 3 times by sunday of the same week!  It is just so feminine, flattering, and fabulous!  The picture below is wearing number three…and look how happy I look! It’s the dress, well and friends and delicious food, but being in a cute dress definitely lifts a gal’s mood!

I scheduled my Stitch Fix shipments to  be delivered every 3 months because that is when I will need a wardrobe refresher, but you can have a new “fix” delivered every 2 weeks, once a month, every other month or whenever you feel like you need it.
