Yesterday, my youngest daughter started kindergarten.
I can’t believe it how time flies.
I am super excited for her to start this new chapter of her life, but I have been a little teary eyed and emotional over that last 2 days, because, well, …well because it’s change. Change is always hard because it’s full beginnings and endings, and that
is hard, always. Even if it’s a good change.
There is always an adjustment period and a time of newness, letting-go and blessings.
Another thing about time and change, is that it happens constantly, whether we like it or not.
And time passes whether we take full advantage of it or not. In every moment we have the choice to decide whether we are going to take action or are we going to tell ourselves talk ourselves out of it, while we wait for a “better” time.
But often the “better time” never shows up.
And while you wait 6 months, 1 year, 5 years for that time to show up, what will happen to you? Will you be in a better place, the same place or somewhere worse?
When does a “better time” show up?
The truth is, it never will. Because on the hamster wheel, something new always comes up, And busy always happens if we continue to let it decide how we spend out energy.
And because the best time is always now.
In fact, NOW is the only time we have to make anything happen. It’s the only time to start changing what ever needs to be changed in our lives.
Every epic journey begins with a single step and that first step must taken now or you will be left staring down the path you want to go down waiting for the perfect moment.
But that first step is hard, because it takes not listening to the chatter in our heads for a second to decide-à Yes, I am a priority and yes I do have time, because it’s important enough to me. And it begins with just that one decision to say YES to yourself. And that is powerful stuff.
You are made of powerful stuff.
You can do it. Now is the time.
So what will it be?
Will it be a time for new beginnings, letting go of what doesn’t work anymore and blessings?
Or
Will you continue to stand there looking down the road at the path you want to take…waiting for a “better time”.
