Resolutions and Supple Skin

The Lemonade – January 7, 2025

Good morning, friends!

Hope your weekend was great—and if you spent it taking down Christmas decorations, I hope it went smoothly with minimal tangled lights or broken ornaments! I always think it’s a little sad because the house looks so bare, but I also love the fresh start feeling of getting it all cleaned up and put back together! With the winter blast across the country, I hope you are warm and cozy wherever you are!

New on the Blog

We all know the New Year isn’t some magical portal to a better life, but it does feel like a fresh start. Unfortunately, by mid-February, most resolutions are history.

But it’s not because resolutions don’t work or you are weak—it’s because change is hard. So, I’ve put together 5 tips to help your resolutions stick:

  1. Create SMART goals: Specific, Measurable, Actionable, Realistic, and Time-sensitive. For example, instead of saying, “I want to be healthier,” say, “I’ll eat veggies at two meals a day and exercise on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.” Specific goals = action-ready goals.
  2. Make a plan with bite-sized steps: Break your big goals into tiny, doable actions. Small wins build momentum!
  3. Set up accountability: You can’t ghost yourself (well, you can, but let’s not). Check in with a friend or a coach to keep you on track.
  4. Be flexible: Life happens, and plans change. Give yourself grace to adjust your goals when needed without abandoning ship.
  5. Celebrate actions, not just results: Results can feel slow, but showing up for yourself daily is what counts. Cue the confetti for every workout, healthy meal, or journaling session! 🎉

Why does this matter? Because growth isn’t a straight line—it’s a roller coaster, full of starts, stops, and restarts. And the restarts? That’s where the magic happens. Let’s keep the magic alive, my friends.

Beauty & Wellness

Winter Skin SOS: Cold weather is brutal for our skin. Keep your skin looking supple and  beautiful, and hydrated with these tips:

Speaking of hydration, Winter might trick you into skipping water (no sweaty workouts, no thirst). But hydration is key for beautiful skin as well as energy, detoxification, and gut health. Getting a cute water bottle to keep around you at all times is a great way to remember to drink enough water! I keep my Stanley around at all times! (I love this one with a non-spill lid)

Healthy Hair & Skin:

Beautiful and healthy skin starts from the inside out. Load up on an antioxidant-rich diet, filled with nourishing fruits, vegetables, and plenty of protein to reduce hair shedding and boost skin radiance. If you want a boost, a few supplements are great for healthy skin! I love this Thorne’s Hair and Skin Bundle with collagen + biotin!

That’s all for now! Stay warm, stay hydrated, and crush those goals this week. You’ve got this!

XO,

Sally
