Refreshing perspectives for a balanced life
May 20, 2025
Good Morning! So, funny story…
I was at a lunch meeting yesterday, chatting about how my son graduates next week. Then someone politely asked, “Wait, what high school?” I told her, and she goes, “Isn’t that graduation on Friday?” And suddenly… OMG. That’s THIS Friday. As in, three days from now.
Cue full-body realization. 😳
I swear, he was just learning how to tie his shoes five minutes ago—and now he’s about to walk across a stage in a cap and gown. Wild.
💛 Wellness Tip of the Week
Start your day before your phone.
Need something to make your mornings feel a little more balanced? Try starting your day before your phone. Even just five minutes of breathwork, journaling, or stretching before scrolling can set a calmer tone for your day. It’s tiny, doable, and powerful.

When Life Goes Sideways
I looked back at some old blog posts and stumbled across one from 2017. Sometimes I cringe rereading the past, but this one? Still hits. It’s about how life doesn’t always go the way we plan—sometimes it just goes… sideways.

💭 Something to Think About
“When the roots are deep, there is no reason to fear the wind.”
— African proverb
The winds of life will always blow—change, uncertainty, challenges—but when our roots are deep, we can weather the storm. That grounding comes from knowing ourselves and trusting our intuition.
Take time to build a strong connection with yourself. Your inner wisdom is your guidance system—it speaks softly, especially when life gets loud. One of my favorite ways to reconnect with my intuition is through meditation. I’ll ask myself, “What do I need to know about this?” Then, through quiet contemplation or prayer, I ask Spirit to guide me toward clarity.
You already have the answers you need. You just have to get still enough to hear them.
Stay grounded, stay informed, and always look on the bright side. 🍋
With love,
Sally
