This Week’s Lemonade: Morning Sun, Flower Moons & Spring Vibes

Refreshing perspectives for a balanced life
May 13, 2025

Good Morning, friends!

This past weekend was Mother’s Day—hope you got some well-deserved pampering or got to spoil your mama! Over here, we celebrated with… a blur of soccer games, painting trim, and refinishing bar stools. No spa treatments, but plenty of checkmarks on the to-do list, which honestly feels good to things ready for my son’s graduation party on May 24…and I have already asked for a do-over onces all the end of the year craziness is over!

Spring has officially sprung—cool mornings, warm afternoons, everything blooming, and did you catch the Flower Moon last night? I didn’t even know that was a thing, but apparently the full moon in May is called that.

Let the Sunshine In!
Want better sleep, a brighter mood, and less anxiety? Step outside and let your eyeballs catch some morning rays. Getting sunlight—especially within the first hour after waking—helps regulate your circadian rhythm, which means better sleep at night and more stable energy and mood during the day. No need to sunbathe or stare directly at the sun (please don’t), just being outside, a 5–10 minute walk, sitting outside of the porch, or sitting near a window can work wonders. Think of it as nature’s reset button for your brain.

💭 Something to Think About

“With the new day comes new strength and new thoughts.”
Eleanor Roosevelt

Even if yesterday was messy, rushed, or completely off the rails, each morning offers a quiet invitation to begin again—with more clarity, more calm, and yes, more coffee (always coffee). Shake off the rust, take a deep breath, and treat today like the clean slate it is. You’ve got this.

Stay grounded, stay informed, and always look on the bright side. 🍋
