I am sure many of your have heard about Mantras. Right?
But maybe you don’t know why they are important…well, I want to tell you why I think they are SOOOOOOO important and why you need to start examining your thoughts and creating new mantras so you can start creating a life you love!
Main Take-aways:
- Thoughts are not facts! They are just created of our perception and life experience, therefore they can be changed!
- Beliefs –> Thoughts —> Feelings —-> Actions —-> Reality (Want a new reality, start working backwards)
- Every thought creates neural pathways. So when we think new thoughts we actually create new pathways. And we more we practice thinking along the new (more desirable) pathway, the more they become our default thought patterns.
- Mantras are just a way to practice new thoughts
Actions Steps:
- Take (non judgemental) inventory of current thoughts and feelings.
- Evaluate them to see which ones limiting your growth or simply making you feel crappy (I am so fat. I’m such a bad mom; I am not likeable; I’m always running behind)
- Create Mantras to create new thoughts or feelings that will serve you better. (I am beautiful; I can and will lose weight/stick to this eating plan; I am worthy of attention I am a good mom and am always doing my best; I am likeable; I am important; There is enough time)
