Feel Better Honey

It’s summertime, I am just going about my business and we are scheduled to leave for our summer road trip adventure in a few days…and I get COVID!

Ugh, I wish Covid would go away already! I am just glad it appears to be less severe and it’s on its way to becoming endemic, (like a common cold).

I am feeling pretty lousy, low-grade fever, body aches, stuffy nose, cough…the works. I know I have to let it run its course.

But there are things I can do to help my body’s natural healing ability. Here is what I do to support myself when I am sick

Getting Plenty of Sleep –  Sleep is when your immune system reboots and rejuvenates.  This is always important, but especially when your body is trying to heal.

Drink Plenty of Water – Your body needs extra fluids when you are sick to help detoxify and support your increased metabolic needs.

Black Tea and Green Tea – Tea is a massive source of antioxidants and fluids.

Feel Good Honey – This is my own recipe to help boost my immune system with herbs in a really delicious way.  It contains some immune boosting herbs!

  • Turmeric – Boost Immunity, reduces inflammation
  • Black Pepper – supports the active bioactive Curcumin in tumeric
  • Ginger – Boosts immunity, reduces inflammation, helps with nausea and GI upset
  • Cinnamon – has antioxidant, antibiotic, and anti-inflammatory properties
